Spend a weekend with Athletic Equestrian Founder, Sally Batton, and Friends! Ride your own horse or a school horse. Mounted sessions include Equicize, Trail Obstacles, Yoga, Dressage and Working Equitation! Exact sessions depend on rider interests.

Unmounted Sessions:
• Yoga
Cost:
$495/rider, all disciplines welcome.
$250 deposit required when accepted into the camp
Bring Your Own Horse:
$50/day for dry stall, riders bring own shavings, grain, hay, buckets and takes care of their own horse.
Proof of vaccinations within 6 months for Flu/Rhino, within a year for EWT, Rabies, and West Nile plus a negative Coggins.
Rent a Mount Holyoke College Horse:
$250 for the mounted sessions on Saturday & Sunday.
SAlly Batton
Sally was the head coach of the Dartmouth College Division I Varsity Equestrian Team for 30 years and is currently a sought-after clinician. Sally’s book The Athletic Equestrian was recently published by Horse & Rider Books. She is the past IHSA National Steward and was presented with the IHSA Lifetime Achievement Award in 2013 and was inducted into the inaugural class of the IHSA Hall of Fame in 2020. Batton is a certified instructor with both the United States Hunter Jumper Association (USHJA) and the American Riding Instructor's Association (ARIA); in 2008, she was named ARIA Instructor of the Year. She is the Founder and President of the Athletic Equestrian League and is host of The Athletic Equestrian Podcast.
Ali is a native of Martha’s Vineyard and a Mount Holyoke Alum ’07. She owns and operates out of Ingellis Stables in Amherst MA. Ali has trained and competed through Intermediate 1, successfully earning her Bronze, Silver, and several scores for her Gold medal. Ali‘s passion is starting young dressage horses and setting them up for their careers through correct and positive training. She is very excited to be with us for her third season coaching with the IDA!
Kelli Wainscott
Growing up in 4-H and showing Appaloosas and then Quarter Horses, she found her love for teaching and coaching at a very young age. She also became a carded judge at the age of 20, cutting her amatuer career short in hopes to educate and improve the industry.
Graduating Westfield State University in 2002 with a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, she has been a Massachusetts State Police Dispatcher and First Responder since 2005. She is a 4-H leader and volunteer, the head western coach at Mount Holyoke College, Intercollegiate Horse Shows Association Director At Large, AQHA and APHA Professional Horseman, Carded Judge with several associations, and in her spare time, an Animal Control Officer for three towns.
Amanda is a lifelong horsewoman who loves sharing her knowledge with others. She grew up in 4H and pony club and was a dressage and 3 phase event rider and instructor for many years before shifting to working equitation and now to obstacles and trail competitions of many kinds. She teaches, trains and competes in ranch riding, working equitation, mountain trail, Equine trail sports, and versatile horse and rider competitions. Amanda is a carded judge with New England 4H, the Open Horse Show Association, the American Ranch Horse Association and is a licensed technical delegate for USA Working Equitation.
